Miles College Opens Applications for the 26-27 Kemper Scholars Program

Miles College students have a new opportunity to invest in their future through the Kemper Scholars Program, presented in partnership with the Kemper Foundation.

The program is designed for rising juniors and seniors pursuing degrees in business-related fields, including Business, Accounting, Management, Actuarial Science, and Management Information Systems. Selected Kemper Scholars may receive $10,000 per year and, when eligible, an opportunity for a paid internship at a local Kemper office.

“This is the kind of opportunity we want Miles College students to pursue—one that combines financial support with meaningful professional experience,” said college leadership. “Students are not simply earning a degree; they are preparing to enter their professions with experience, confidence, and connections.”

Who Should Apply?

Applicants should have a minimum 3.0 GPA and be rising juniors or seniors with an interest in careers related to business, finance, insurance, risk management, or related fields. The program particularly seeks to support students who are Pell-eligible or who otherwise face financial challenges in completing their education.

Applications require a recent Miles College transcript, two signed letters of recommendation—including one from Miles College faculty—a personal statement of no more than 500 words, and a current résumé.

Applications are now open and close September 1.
