Lights, Camera, Opportunity: Miles College Students Invited to Apply for Paid Film Production Fellowship

Miles College students interested in gaining real-world experience in the entertainment industry are encouraged to apply for the Kemet Movie Works Production Assistant Fellowship, a paid opportunity to work on an upcoming independent feature film production in Alabama.


Through Miles College's ongoing partnerships with industry leaders and community organizations, students from all academic disciplines are invited to apply. No prior film or production experience is required.


The fellowship offers participants the opportunity to work alongside industry professionals, gain hands-on production experience, and develop transferable skills in communication, teamwork, problem-solving, project management, and creative production.

Production Details

Tentative Production Dates: July 28 – August 8, 2026

Location: Kemet Movie Works Campus Anniston, Alabama

Applicants must be able to provide their own transportation to and from the production site.

Following the application review process, selected candidates will be invited to participate in interviews before final crew selections are made.
